Professor
Michael Clare has taken care of GONG on the road
during this european tour. If the band was able
to be OK
most of the time, Michael was able to do it
possible.
This
fact brought also an opportunity to see a meeting
of
professors from three different continents under
the german sky:

The original GAS pressings of
e2x10=Tenure are sold out. Thanks to all who got
one. The Worldwide real official release date is
May 22, 2001 by Innerspace (Innerspace 7715).
Professor Allen has prepared a new cover and
inner artwork. GAS will be releasing a live album
"Go Forth and Errorize" early in the
summer. It was recorded mostly in Chicago on
August 12, 2000. The University art
department is preparing a bonus multimedia disc
with lots of photos and whatever else can be
found to document the tour. The faculties touring
lecture series for 2001 will commence in mid
August and run through September 8th. Nothing has
been booked as of this writing, but research is
being done for visits to cities once again in the
northeast/midwest USA hopefully dipping into the
south (Virginia/North Carolina/Georgia ???). All
students are welcome to contribute to the success
of these lectures

Plans are also being made for the
initial recordings of the faculties third studio
album which should occur in NY after the lecture
series.

y know since u of err was advertized to do that
gig on 29thFeb 2001 on space station mir - well i
figure that makes us the last band advertised to
play on space station mir before it crashes on
byron bay, then surely this should be trumpeted
on the website immediately.
Who knows, perhaps we just kept playing and are
still up there half way through the gig as it
plunges to earth unaware that it is no longer feb
29th.
Not surprising when you think that there was NO
29th feb this year. If we started playing a gig
on a day that didnt exist we would certainly
still not be playing that gig now.
And if you dont play on a day that doesnt exist
surely thats the same as playing on a day that
does exist.
Given all these probabilities i think its fair to
say that we are deeply involved with the descent
of Mir.
And what if we are playing this gig on Mir when
suddenly it crashes on my house while i am
playing the guitar,
Tricky.
I would be meeting another dimensional version of
myself coming through the roof. Now could both
me's both playing guitar colliding in this
fashion BOTH be recorded on the one recording
device at the point of impact. IF SO:
To which dimension would this recording belong.
To the suspended 29th of
february mir dimension or
to the -wotever the date is when
mir crashed down-dimension.
Hmmm.
My dear professors i pass this conundrum to you
along with a set of brushes & a polish pea
cake.
